The morning was wet, and our planned BBQ dinner was cancelled because someone got sick, so it was a quiet day for us.
I finally realised that I didn't need to find the perfect combination of events to go to in order to feel excited about July 4. the issue is that I think I'm looking through a window when it comes to July 4th - watching someone elses party.
I'm not sure I'll ever completely feel excited about the buntings, I guess. But it is a very handy long weekend.
